This one was a purchased mess... supposedly never run... and all evidence showed it likely hadn't been run... if it had/did, what a mess it would have been... 1st - wrong metering block. That's a 4412 block from a LIST-4412 500cfm 2-barrel... 2nd - NO primary idle air bleeds... 3rd - WRONG base on it, with 1-1/2" throttle bores instead of the 1-9/16" bores that the 600 has... 4th - Additional unnecessary small holes below the transfer slots in the base plate... and the bigger hole passages needed to be added so that idle mixture screws would function... 5th - Had to repair one stripped out primary float bowl screw thread in the body... Added (adjustable) primary idle air bleeds where there were none previously reinstalled at the "Hxlley Remanufactured" stage... Added (adjustable) correct sized primary idle feed restrictions and power valve channel restrictions to the block for this carburetor, and blocked the "kill bleeds" intended for the original application of a 4412 2-barrel which has down-leg boosters... this carburetor has straight-leg boosters... NOW ready to work well... and work well it does...
