For a turbo and nitrous 2000-something bodied Chevy full tube frame racing mud truck with initially a stock 5.3L and then later a 6.0L with "stage 3 cam" (~230-degrees @ 0.050") build... the 850 double pumper somebody sold him magically became a 700 double upon receipt here, lol... Regardless... he's talking about BIG (40 pounds) boost, and nitrous, for eventually in the neighborhood of 1500 horsepower... dunno if it's even possible, but 40 pounds of boost was stated... so I'm gonna do everything I can on this end to produce a Holley that will contain that much boost... for instance, short 3/8" socket setscrews will be in place where metering block cup plugs would normally be... Here's what I've been thinking and have come up with... I don't like what is offered new, since it just directs boost air and fuel out of the throttle bores... Here is my idea, the images that follow, for boost air to be directed to throttle shafts, copyright-protected because who knows this could be actual innovation... I haven't seen anything even remotely similar to my idea anywhere else... so, take a gander... Hmm... seems pretty viable to me...
