First clue investigating this unit online for details, image... ... which is unnecessary with a "4-corner idle" carburetor... It did have them, secondary constant idle feeds... blocked them with marine jb-weld epoxy. I often find the following conditions, and make corrections as follows: Primary throttle blades only opening about 95% from WOT, secondary throttle blades only opening about 85%... - adjusted primary WOT stop setscrew (QFT's often have this) for 100% WOT... - bent secondary opening link for 100% WOT of secondary throttle blades when primaries are open 100%... - I find these ^ links always straight, not bent, from the factory, and never fully open the secondaries... - filed primary throttle lever secondary link hole with a small (3/16") round file straight back (the top of the link hole in the primary throttle lever does the secondary opening) for some slack at idle (no secondaries hanging up with the link and preventing the primaries and/or secondaries from closing at idle)...
